Hi, I’m Dr. Flowers and I’m so glad you’re here!
(Feel free to call me Siobhan - an Irish name pronounced like Sha-Von.)
It’s true that being an educator is one of the most rewarding, yet stressful careers that exists. My journey in the education field first began in 2007 as a K-12 educator then as a high school counselor. Today, I am an educator in higher ed and also serve as a licensed mental health therapist in private practice and as an educator wellness coach.
I help educators like you become more grounded in your wellness practices and cultivate healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and being.
I find the utmost joy and fulfillment in working with educators towards practical solutions for reducing stress, avoiding the pitfalls of burnout, and feeling more connected with themselves and others.
My ultimate goal is to support educators who look like me achieve optimal balance.
Together, we can cultivate the proper foundation using just the right tools for you to feel more grounded and in control - with strategy, intention, and accountability - not just fluff and inspiration.

More about me…
My core beliefs:
Wellness is liberation.
Self-love is social justice.
Rest is revolutionary.
My mission is to expand my reach and impact, and share what I’ve learned as a mental health therapist with fellow educators who desire more connection and are ready for a more sustainable way of being.
If you are convinced that there’s no way out of ‘survival mode’ because there’s simply too much to be done, you could benefit from additional support, accountability, a guide, and a strategy to show you how to reduce stress and prioritize your mental wellness.
I get it. The concept of “self-care” has now almost become a cliché or even worse, a term that ignores the systemic challenges that exist and unfairly puts the onus of responsibility back onto the individual educator.
I have researched, developed, and taught holistic best practices to include necessary mindset shifts that align from your core values to help combat the often oppressive systems found in our educational institutions.
There is support in numbers and connection within community. With various offerings to include workshops, presentations, affinity group wellness coaching and online community support, I equip educators with knowledge, insight, and a healthy dose of accountability. You don’t have to embark on your mental wellness journey alone.
A few of my favorite things…
I’d love to work with you!
I’m excited to discuss how we can work together.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to see how I can help!
